When Demand rises but clarity falls

“What looks the same is not the same.
And what is not the same cannot produce the same result.”

When Demand Rises but Clarity Falls

A Response to the Growing Call for Exorcists

There is a rising conversation in the public space:
More people are seeking exorcists. More institutions are trying to train them.

At first glance, this sounds like awareness.

But awareness without truth creates confusion.

And confusion, when dealing with spiritual realities, becomes dangerous.

1. The Need Is Real — But So Is the Misunderstanding

There is no question that people are encountering spiritual oppression.

What many are calling “psychological,” others are recognizing as something deeper.

Scripture does not avoid this reality. It speaks plainly.

“These signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons…” (Mark 16:17)

The need is not new.

What is new is the lack of clarity about authority.

Because the issue is not:

  • whether demons exist

  • or whether people need freedom

The issue is:
Who has the authority to deal with them—and how.

2. The Danger of Unauthorized Practice

Authority does not struggle to produce what it carries.

Authority does not struggle to produce what it carries.

There is a pattern we have already been warned about.

In Acts 19:13–16, the sons of Sceva attempted to cast out demons using words they did not carry authority in.

The result was not victory—but exposure.

This is the danger of:

  • imitation without transformation

  • ritual without relationship

  • language without authority

This is where many systems—even well-intentioned ones—begin to fail.

When methods replace identity,
the result is strain instead of freedom.

3. Where Systems Go Wrong

In many institutional approaches, including traditional religious systems:

  • Methods become complex

  • Processes become prolonged

  • Authority becomes externalized

Instead of:

  • simple command

  • clarity of identity

  • direct authority in Christ

This creates a cycle:

  • more cases

  • more training

  • more dependence on the system

But not necessarily more freedom.

4. The Pattern of Jesus Was Never Complicated

When Jesus encountered demonic oppression:

  • He did not negotiate

  • He did not perform rituals

  • He did not require extended processes

He spoke.

And it ended.

Why?

Because He operated from finished authority, not borrowed method.

5. The Missing Foundation: The Resurrection Verdict

What has been decided does not need to be fought for again.

The central issue is not technique.

It is position.

The resurrection of Jesus was not just an event—it was a verdict.

“Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them…” (Colossians 2:15)

This means:

  • the authority of darkness has already been broken

  • what remains is enforcement, not negotiation

Without this understanding, people:

  • fight battles already won

  • build systems around what should be simple

  • multiply effort where authority should rest

6. Why the Demand Is Increasing

The rise in demand for exorcists is not just about darkness increasing.

It is also about clarity decreasing.

Where truth is unclear:

  • fear increases

  • dependency increases

  • complexity increases

People sense something is wrong—but are not being shown the simplicity of authority.

7. A Call to Revisit the Commission

The answer is not more systems.

The answer is returning to what was already given:

“Behold, I give you authority… over all the power of the enemy…” (Luke 10:19)

This was not given to specialists.

It was given to believers.

8. Why This Matters for Parents

Parents need to understand:

  • Not every spiritual issue requires institutional intervention

  • Not every voice speaking on spirituality carries truth

  • Not every method labeled “deliverance” is grounded in authority

Your children are growing up in a world:

  • increasingly open to the supernatural

  • but often disconnected from truth

This creates vulnerability.

But it also creates opportunity—for clarity.

9. Where We Come In

This is why the work of Supernatural School — Light in the Darkness exists.

Not to create dependency.

But to train people to:

  • understand their identity

  • walk in authority

  • operate from truth, not fear

This is not about:

  • hype

  • ritual

  • or performance

This is about alignment with what has already been accomplished.

Final Thought

The world is not lacking spiritual activity.

It is lacking spiritual clarity.

And where clarity returns,
authority becomes simple again.

“This is not about learning how to fight.
It is about learning where you stand.”
